How to Play
Zygo = joining, pairing (from Greek zygon = yoke),
Lex = word (from Greek lexis = word)
Zygolex is a game which connects words in up to five ways - by rhyme; by their meaning; by the close relationship of their component letters; by their association in a familiar phrase; and by their grammatical affinity in family.
The aim of the game is to fill all the solution boxes in the grid with connected words. Each solution box is linked by two or more differently coloured lines denoting the nature of its connections to adjacent boxes.
By clicking on a solution box you will be able to enter your answer. The number given in each solution box indicates the number of letters in the answer (except in Fiendish level).
Zygolex puzzles come in four levels of difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard and Fiendish.
You can also play Zygolex in two ways - Normal Play and Expert Play. In Normal Play your answers are checked as you go along and you can amend any incorrect answers. In Expert Play you will only find out if your answers are correct when the solution is revealed at the end of the game.
